- Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a group of conditions caused by a disorder of the arteries supplying the heart muscle (coronary arteries). It is mostly caused by atherosclerosis, where a buildup of fats and other deposits narrows the blood vessels.
- It predominantly causes myocardial ischemia.
- It is a chronic disease that progressively worsens as the blood vessels narrow.

ลักษณะภาวะกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจขาดเลือด (Myocardial Ischemia)
- A condition that occurs when the heart muscle does not receive enough blood (and oxygen) to meet its demands.
- It is a consequence of Coronary Artery Disease (or other causes).
- It is an emergency condition or a symptom that occurs when the blood supply to the heart is insufficient, which may happen occasionally (e.g., chest pain during exertion) or acutely and severely (heart attack).
