
» Menopause and Climacteric
- It is a period in a woman's life when her body undergoes significant hormonal changes, particularly a decrease in estrogen. This usually occurs around the age of 45-55, and the symptoms and effects vary from person to person.
- Menopause is the time when a woman stops having periods permanently and is no longer able to conceive naturally. She is officially considered to have entered menopause when she has not had a period for 12 consecutive months.
» Physical and mental changes
- Hot flashes in the face, neck, or upper body are common symptoms.
- Night Sweats.
- Mood swings, irritability, depression.
- Cannot sleep.
- Vaginal dryness, sexual problems.
- Osteoporosis, a decrease in estrogen hormones, results in a decrease in bone mineral density.
- Dry skin, hair loss, memory loss.
» Taking care of yourself during menopause
- Exercise regularly, such as brisk walking, yoga, or swimming.
- Eat foods that are high in calcium, such as milk, soybeans, and small fish.
- Avoid foods high in fat, sugar, caffeine, and alcohol.
- Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) should be consulted with a doctor first because of its advantages and risks.
- Annual health check-up to check bone mass, breast cancer, and more.
- Find a stress-relieving activity, such as a hobby or meditation.
