- This is an examination that requires sleeping in a sleep lab or using a portable device to take home and sleep. Data such as:
- Brain waves (EEG)
- Eye movement.
- Heartbeat.
- Breathing.
- Blood oxygen level.
- Muscle movement.
- Sleeping posture.
» Who should undergo a sleep study?
- People who experience unusually excessive daytime drowsiness.
- People who snore loudly and have pauses in breathing.
- People who feel like they can't sleep or don't sleep deeply.
- People who are easily tired, irritable, or have memory problems.
- People who suspect that they have sleep apnea.
