- Eye examination is an important step in overall health care because it can help detect eye abnormalities in the early stages, which is called preventing diseases that may lead to vision loss in the future.

- Eye level measurement.
- Screening for various eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, vitreous degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Examine for abnormalities in the retina, optic nerve, or blood vessels that supply the eye.
- Diagnose vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, or presbyopia.
» Basic eye health examination procedures.
- Take a history.
- Symptoms related to vision such as blurred vision, eye pain, blurred vision.
- History of eye use, screen usage behavior.
- Family history of eye disease such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy.
- Visual Acuity Test.
- Use the Snellen chart to measure visual acuity.
- Visual Field Test.
- Check the field of vision to see if there are areas that the eye cannot perceive (e.g., to check for glaucoma).
- Refractive Error Test.
- Use an automatic machine or trial lens to measure vision, such as nearsightedness/farsightedness/astigmatism.
- Eye pressure testing (Tonometry)
- Screening to assess the risk of glaucoma.
- Examine the inside of the eye using an ophthalmoscope.
- Examine the retina, blood vessels in the eye and optic nerve.
