    • Gallstones are hard deposits that form in the gallbladder. They can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a golf ball. Some people may develop just one gallstone, while others can have many. The symptoms of gallstones vary from person to person, and most people won't experience any symptoms until a gallstone blocks a bile duct.

» Symptoms and common signs of gallstones include

    1. Sudden and severe abdominal pain: This pain usually occurs in the upper right part of the abdomen or the upper middle part (epigastric region). It often starts after eating a fatty meal and can last for several hours.
    2. The pain might also spread to other areas. It can radiate to the right shoulder blade or the right shoulder.
    3. Nausea and Vomiting: These symptoms often accompany the abdominal pain.
    4. Indigestion: You might experience bloating, gas, or occasional diarrhea.
    5. Jaundice: If a gallstone blocks a major bile duct, it can cause yellowing of the skin and eyes.
    6. High fever and chills: These are signs of inflammation or infection in the gallbladder.
