DESCRIPTION

» Cancer screening for women.

  1. Cervical cancer.
    • Testing method: Pap smear or HPV DNA test.
    • Recommended age: Start at age 21 and test every 3 years (or 5 years if using HPV test).
    • Frequency: Every 3-5 years until age 65.
  2. Breast cancer.
    • Method of examination: Mammogram
    • Recommended age: Starting at 40-50 years old, depending on the guidelines in each country.
    • Frequency: Every 1-2 years.
    • Note: Regular self-examination can also help.
  3. Ovarian cancer.
    • There is no recommended screening for the general population, but screening is available for those at high risk (e.g., those with a family history).

  1. Prostate cancer.
    • Method of examination: PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) test in blood and/or rectal examination (DRE)
    • Recommended age: Starting from age 50 (or 45 if there is a family history)

  2. Testicular Cancer.
    • Method of examination: Self-examination and examination by a doctor.
    • Age at risk: Most common in men aged 15-35 years.

  3. Lung Cancer.
    • Risk group: Heavy smokers or those who have smoked before.
    • Method of examination: Computerized tomography (Low-dose CT)
    • Recommended age: 50 years and older with a history of smoking.
