- It is a condition in which the penis is unable to become erect enough or to maintain an erection long enough for complete sexual intercourse.
» Characteristics of ED.
- Erectile dysfunction.
- Hard but not fully erect.
- Does not harden long enough to complete the activity
- Occurs repeatedly.
- If it occurs occasionally, it may not be considered a disease, but if it occurs more than 25% of the time during sexual intercourse, it may need to be evaluated.
» Causes of erectile dysfunction are divided into two main groups.

» Symptoms of erectile dysfunction.
- The penis is not erect when having sex.
- Inability to achieve or maintain an erection throughout intercourse.
- Decreased sexual desire in some cases.
» Diagnosis.
- That is, the doctor will ask about your general health history, sexual history, perform a physical examination, and may order additional tests, such as:
- Blood test (hormone levels, diabetes, blood fat)
- Check blood flow.
- Nocturnal Penile Tumescence test.
